Removing Codeshare will confuse the community base. My suggestions are as follows...

  1. Rename CrowdSRC to Codeshare.
  2. Instead of having User Submitted Articles under there as well, move them to Articles under a new TAB at the top of the page called "User Submitted" and have article search search them both.

Thanks, Kevin! We'll let this marinate a little before making any structural changes, but I'm looking forward to hearing what the community has to say on this front.

Setting this to "needs info" so as not to give the impression that the DevCentral team is actively investigating. I would like to hear what people think about this after an adjustment period.

I was also confused when entering the site but it took me less than 5 seconds to figure it out. Personally I kind of like CrowdSRC, but having it under Articles feels wrong. Deserves its own header imho, but maybe I am biased. 🙂

I like codeshare. Maybe it's stuck in my mind 🙂

Also it will be good if it's under different section like Kevin stated. That way it's easier to browse.

From my perspective, I would put DevCentral News and Technical Articles under the same section, and Technical Forum, CrowdSRC and Water Coleer also under the same section. Just an opinion...

Was there an outcome for this?

No outcome yet, still waiting for additional feedback from members, and considering next steps. @LiefZimmerman is enjoying some well-deserved time away from the keyboard right now.

I'm curious - How do you feel about the arrangement now, roughly 6 weeks with the new info architecture?

I prefer Codeshare, or even CrowdSource, but CrowdSRC just makes no sense to me - is there a reason for SRC to be capitalised?

Thanks @PeteWhite.
Since CrowdSRC is a concatenation of community submitted articles (new) and community submitted codeshare (old) the SRC portion is a nod to the old without limiting the new. Capitalized as a point of emphasis and legibility but generally referring to 'that location where our tech community may submit their contributions, big and small
