Programmability in the Network: Canary Deployments

Is there a concret sample/use-case in supporting this model with F5 ? We want to do that, as part of our cloud migration journey. The ideea is to be able to direct user based traffic to on-prem data centers and cloud DC, using a "canary" model. Once that apps deployed in cloud DC prove that can handle the traffic ok, the percentage will increase untill apps deployed on-prem will be completly bypased.

How do you achieve that with F5 as "smart router" component, in a manner completly transparent to end-users ?
