Problem with IIS 6 + WMI Monitor

Hello all,

Recently I have configured the WMI monitor & Data Gathering Agent in Windows 2008 + IIS 7. Everything worked like a charm.

I am trying to do the same with a Windows 2003 + IIS 6 and I haven't been able to make it work. I followed all the steps in the Configuration Guide but it did not work at all. The node is marked down as soon as the monitor is assigned to it.

I enabled the logging for WMI performance monitor using this article:

http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/4000/600/sol4690.html

And when I checked the log the only thing I can see is:

"Target: http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:80/scripts/F5Isapi.dll?GetCPUInfo (ID/Pwd: johndoe@mydomain.local/Mypassw0rd)

Failure processing HTTP request"

We are using LTM ver 10.2.0 on a 6400 D63 hardware.

¿Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks a lot for your assistance.

Carlos

IIS 7 and IIS 6 have different Data Gathering Agents. You should be able to use the F5.IsHandler.dll on both, but for it to work on IIS 6 you will need to install the .Net framework. It is better to use f5isapi.dll if you are running IIS 6.

Also, there are two versions of f5isapi.dll - one for 32bit and one for 64bit. Be sure you are using the correct one.
