a few vips out of many r not successfully failing over

We're running active/standby LTMs, version 9.3 and noticed that when we fail-over the active LTM to the standby, a couple of VIPs are not failing over and staying on the old active (new stand-by) LTM. We confirmed that by looking at the arp cache of the upstream routers that are directly connected to the LTMs; - namely, after the fail-over took place, the mac address assosiated with these 2 VIPs remained that of the old active LTM. When we cleared the ARP cache, we noticed the mac address for these VIPs got changed to the one on the standby LTM. The rest of the VIPs failed over OK. Has anyone seen this anomaly and could shed the light on it?

Thanks much..

  • Try MAC Masquerading.it'is like a floating MAC for those vlans you're working with and you set it up on the network\vlan menu.
