    Hi Olivier,

This release, Microsoft SharePoint 2016, is an official release, designed, produced and tested by the Microsoft specific developers on our Solution Engineering team here at F5. We use a categorization system to describe iApps, this one is a Release Candidate, which means developed and supported by F5. You can read about the categories in the support policy on the link below.

    https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/13000/400/sol13422.html?sr=56816459

For a little additional detail, F5 has created release candidates so we can get iApps out to you faster, and you can still feel confident in using the iApp and knowing that F5 support and developers stand behind the work. All of our previous SharePoint work has gone through extensive automated testing and this iApp largely the same code. When the automated testing is completed this iApp will move to being a gold release.

  • I download the last version of iApps template in 14-11-2017. The "F5 verified" for Sharepoint 2016 did not appear in templates list. What is this meaning? and when it will be F5 verified?

Hello Arida, What do you mean by "F5 verified" not appearing in the template list? We definitely support and have verified Sharepoint 2016 and have a fully supported release of the iApp in the latest ESD release under Microsoft -> Sharepoint_2016 called

Arida, Follow up, if you meant the "verified" box that shows up under iApp -> templates on the BIG-IP itself then that explains the confusion. If that shows as "F5 verified" all that means is the template was signed by F5 prior to release, that is an optional step and is not necessarily used in all cases even for F5 developed and fully supported iApps.

  • anything needed for SharePoint 2019 setup? (Asking as I'm using this template and most of it is good-- but secure connections to the servers (health or setup with SSL bridging) do not work. Seems the servers may not be right, but can't pin it to them as it works fine if they put the CNAME on the server for the sharepoint instance. Seems they are using SNI.
