# 401 rest auth error after upgrade

Hi Team,

Rest api auth request are failing. Throws 401 error. The basic authentication works fine. The rest calls are failing with localhost also. Tried clearing the corrupt REST storage index directory and restarted restjavad service. But still the issue persists. Anyone faced issue..please help. The SW version is 17.5.1.9.

Can you post a sanitized version of your rest call with auth parameters? Depending on the account you are using, whether that account is a locally-defined account or remote auth, and the endpoint you are hitting, it might be impacting you.
