Using iRules to filter and block

HI,

We are looking to identify and block attachments based on the file extensions within MMS. Specifically We want to identify Attachments with .sys extensions and block them. I have searched through all the information I can find, but to no avail.

Has anyone managed to do this?

We are using Big-IP 9.1.0.

TIA

  • Which MMS are you referring to?

MMS - Windows 2000 Microsoft Metadirectory Services

MMS - Microsoft Media Services (streaming media)

MMS - Multimedia Messaging Service (text messaging)

Since you are referring to attachments, I'll assume you are referring to the last one in the list.

As far as I know, no one here has drilled down into any of these protocols. If you know the specifications for the protocol in question, you should be able to dig into it with iRules.

If you (or anyone) has creating an iRule to dig through this protocol, we'd be very excited to take a look at it.
