using iControl to monitor single web instances where multiple exist

HAs anyone got any sample scripts or pointers for the following.

 

 

We have a number of servers running multiple instances of web services, which we need to monitor individually. Rather than have an iRule poll the individual services, I was wondering if it was possible to have an iControl codelet to tell the bigip when the services are unresponsive? Along with this I would also like it to check for things such as CPU and disk to ensure the entire server is not at fault.

 

 

Is this possible, has it been done, and do you have an sample info? It is for v9.0.5 on BigIP 3400's
