timed event

Is there any way to use timer function independent of any other events. Like I want to log some global variable values every 5 minutes.

    Currently the answer is no. I do know this has been talked about for a long time but there are some technical issues with timers and how our events are raised that make implementation very tricky. If you need this feature, contact Support and put in an enhancement request. With enough of them this could get prioritized higher for future releases.
