Mar 31, 2006Over-ride tcp session timeout with source-address persistence
I should add that I'm brand-new to iRules - thank you very much...
==================================================================
This is a scenario in which Priority (and source add. persistence) is used. The general issue is How do we over-ride the session-timeout from the source-address persistence in the following scenario:
================================================
We have 3 nodes. I want node 1 to fail to node 2 if node 1 is down.
Node 2 to failover to node 3 if both 1 and 2 are down.
The problem is ...when we turn off node 1 and 2, it fails to node 3. If we turn back on node 1, it should go back to node 1, but it doesn't because BigIP will wait until the persistence expires before it goes back to node 1.
Don't know if iRules is the entire answer here. I've tried looking thru some of the postings, and will continue, but would appreciate your input immensely.
Thank you - PLEASE Advise.
