Monitoring Web Service with POST request ?

Anyone have an example of monitoring a SOAP based web service with a POST request that they'd care to share?     Thanks !!

I was hoping to do more of an 'end to end' type of monitor, by POSTing to the WebService, have the WebService go through it's paces (DB access, etc) and respond.
