I want to create a generic tcp monitor that I can put on any pool, and it will monitor the application port plus 1.
For example - if the application is running on port 3000, I want this...

Jul 03, 2008It isn't a huge number of servers, but a number of pools, and growing, each pool with its own port. So, I've created a "tcp_3001" monitor for the tcp/3000 pool, a "tcp_3011" monitor for the tcp/3010 pool, etc. Probably about 20 pools like that right now with possibly more down the road.
Not a huge deal. But, I would have preferred to use a common probe/rule if it could have been done easily.
