loose login access when license expires
have a nice day
I want to ask, if the license on the device expires, do we lose login access? when I try to login using access management, I always get login failed.
Has anyone ever experienced a similar case?
Thank you
You should not lose access to manage your device if BIG-IQ or BIG-IP if the license expires. Even if you don't have support on the BIG-IQ or BIG-IP you might still receive some sort of assistance in this situation.

my device condition does not have a permanent license, and the OS used has expired in 2023. several times I still lost access, but after some time, I was able to access it again.
I did not find the log in /var/log/ltm, is there any idea where I can check this?
looking at https://my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K16197 it could be in
/var/log/daemon.log
/var/log/httpd/httpd_errors
But it remains an unclear assumption the access loss is caused on the F5 side and not something else. Is the same happening for SSH?

Unfortunately, I don't have active support on the device.

Hi team, when I was onsite to the location, the device was on, but when accessing via console it was not successful, when I rebooted, the host became inaccessible. The solution was to move the boot load, and reload the config.
might have been something unrelated then, difficult to judge. if you have the support active ask F5 support to have a look.

it should still allow you to login to enter new license

yes, i think so too.
but this case is very unique for me, i can't login to cli or web base, i checked from big iq management, i found expired license status. even though a few days before i had done reactive license.
