IControl device discovery

Can someone tell me what I need to verify as running on my 4.5.10 Combo box so that iControl can discover it?

 

 

I have an HA pair and iControl will only discover 1 of the units.

 

The units are sync'ed and in production.

 

 

Also, is this the correct place for F5 support for iControl OR should I be calling support?

    For 4.x BIG-IP, make sure the CORBA Portal and related servers are running. To check their status, you can do a "bigstart status" to see.

     

     

    To really make sure the portal and servers are running properly, perhaps you should do this:

     

     

    bigstart restart portal

     

    bigstart startup corbalocallb

     

    bigstart startup corbasystem

     

    bigstart startup corbanetwork

     

    bigstart startup corbamgmt

    By "iControl", do you really mean "iControl Services Manager"? Loc pointed out how you can make sure all the iControl services are running on a BIG-IP for client applications to connect to. Hopefully his response answered your question. If not and this is indeed a question about iControl Services Manager and it's functionality, then we do not currently provide assistence on DevCentral for that product and you will have to contact F5 Product Technical Support. The "iControl" here on DevCentral relates to building applications that use the iControl API's to connect and manage our products.
