Migrate HW GTM 2600
Hi,
I need to migrate 2 cluster Active/Passive frrom serie i to serie r. They are LTM (active standby) and GTM-DNS.
I was thinking about adding two new members to the cluster and temporarily expanding it to a 6-node cluster. Then, on the day of the intervention, we could bring them online and remove two of the i-series nodes. To do this i have to ask for new SELF-IPS, new cables.....etc
Anyone knows the best procedure to replacement these GTM/LTM nodes?

Which requisites should we have to add the new two nodes without having conflict with the current two devices they will replace?
which would be the steps to migrate like this?

The cluster joining method is always a good option if you have the luxury of additional self IPs for new devices. In addition, you may need to accommodate new self-ips in the communication matrix (routing & FW) to ensure a seamless migration.
When you add new nodes to the cluster, always remember,
- Both i & r series are running the same version. If iSeries is running on v16, upgrade it to v17 as rSeries does not support v16.
- Sync-Only & Sync-Failover device groups are set to Manual sync
- Run the gtm_add script from the new nodes to pull the GTM config from iSeries.
